2017 brought working as part of the collaboration which is Oceanallover, a site specific performance art company.

This year's project, entitled Sea Hames, came about through a series of connections and memories involving my late Uncle Raymie's leather sewing machine; a memory of his horses dancing in Alex's (from Oceanallover) garden when he lived in Orkney; and inspiration from Orkney's Festival of The Horse & The Boy's Ploughing Match.

I have composed a body of music for these performances, as well as putting Alex Rigg's poetry to melody.

We've performed in three different locations in Orkney, as well as in Dumfrieshire, and as part of the Dance International Glasgow festival in three separate locations also.

Performing with Oceanallover is like being part of a moving abstract painting. A great sense of being in the moment and becoming part of the landscape while performing happens, making time slip into a parallel universe!

Sea Hames with Oceanallover

We got nominated for an award for the music and sound by The Critics Choice in Scottish Theatre!!!!

The McFaddyWaddys

Here we have The McFaddyWaddys after a weekend at The Orkney Folk Festival... where we slowly rambled from gig to gig playing our laid back new Hoy Hillbilly sounds.

This is a thing so dear to my heart as I get to play tunes and songs with my Dad and my husband... hooray for The McFaddyWaddys!

We were some lucky to have Mr Sandy Wright & Cammy Sinclair join us for our Orkney Folk Festival debut.
